Job Description

Key Responsibility Area:
Responsible for the quality of the delivery as per the finalized scope of work.
Planning:
Setting up of test environments,
Designing test plans
Developing test cases/scenarios/use cases, and executing these cases.
Types of testing:
Manual (Story testing, sanity testing, smoke testing and regression testing)
Device: PC, Tab and Mobile
API etc
Should be able to deploy the customization in the customer environment.
Work in a scrum environment with daily stand-ups.
Work with Product Engineers, Project Managers in understanding the requirements of customization and then writing test cases.
Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Skills Required:
Knowledge of basic Linux/Unix, Basic SQL commands
Knowledge of Web Application testing, test case writing skills
Can Confirm, report and manage defects
Good verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills
An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
An understanding of working culture under Agile teams, knowledge of agile scrum development life cycles & how they pertain to Quality Assurance needs.
Basic Knowledge of server-based API testing using rest client, postman, vrest/Runscope, curl, etc.
Ability to work independently as well as with the team. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional team members
Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to reproduce problems when encountered
Analytical skills
Decision-making ability
Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.

Other Skills:
Knowledge of tools like Putty, browser developer tools, Sumologic, Mobile Simulators, Platform-specific SDKs etc.
A strong product-oriented mindset to work closely with the Professional Services Team.
Knowledge and experience in security and performance testing
Knowledge/Awareness of basic programming/scripting on any language
Knowledge of Contact Centre Technologies, Networking, Voice, and Telecom will be an advantage.
