Job Description

As an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and contributing to the overall improvement of the software development process.

Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning:
Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand project requirements.
Assist in creating comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of the software, including functional, regression, and performance testing.

Test Execution:
Execute test cases to validate software functionality and identify potential defects.
Conduct thorough testing across different environments and configurations.
Utilize automated testing tools where applicable and contribute to the development of automated test scripts.

Defect Identification and Documentation:
Identify, document, and prioritize software defects in a clear and concise manner.
Work closely with developers to understand the root cause of defects and provide detailed information for resolution.

Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.
Participate in daily stand-up meetings and provide status updates on testing progress.

Process Improvement:
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and methodology.
Provide feedback on software design and functionality to improve overall product quality.

Documentation:
Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data.
Document and communicate testing results to stakeholders.

Adherence to Best Practices:
Follow industry best practices and stay informed about new testing tools and techniques.
Ensure compliance with established quality standards and processes.

Qualifications:
Experience 1-3 years
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Basic understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
