Details:
Actively advocates and upholds the standards, best practices and protocols outlined in the Quality Assurance and Testing Framework.
Actively participates in reviews of User Stories (functional and technical), identifies and helps bridge gaps in requirements particularly around use-cases and workflows (considers happy path, alternate paths, user-error, system-error workflows.
Works closely with the Data Eng / Business Analyst/ Product Manager to obtain a thorough understanding of the application and the business being supported by the application. Works closely with the Solution Architect/ Technical Lead to understand the technical approach, technical specifications, non-functional requirements that are integral to the software application.
This individual would be responsible for testing the code. They need to be able to read and understand the requirements and conduct necessary testing. They should be strong on SQL and understand the Data Integration process (ETL) and should be able to mock data in test environment.
Authors Agile Test Plans and Requirements Traceability by ensuring testing depth (# of test cases) and breadth (types of test cases) are commensurate with the number of story points/ complexity and effort intensiveness of the functionalities being developed and tested.
Collaborates with the team to ensure accuracy in estimation of user stories, creation of standardized and/or specific QA tasks to help justify estimations. Proficient in use of tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps in ensuring test cases are tied in with User Stories. Manages test set peer reviews, test plan reviews, execution of test runs, logs and actively seeks quick resolution of bugs based on their severity and priority. Participates in daily stand-up meetings, retrospectives, drives continuous improvement from conducting RCA (Root Cause Analysis) of Production bugs.
Offers UAT support as needed. Maintains primary ownership of the QA environment(s), test data creation and works closely with Test Automation Engineers and Performance/Load Testers. Maintains transparency and predictability for the release by sharing test summary reports at the end of each sprint.
Conducts regular reviews of Quality Assurance Metrics such as DRE (Defect Removal Efficiency), Test Automation Coverage, Functional Test Coverage, and alerts the QA leader to any critical dependencies, risks or constraints and recommends remediation steps.
Good to have:
Familiarity with performance testing like the JMeter or an equivalent testing tool.
Familiarity with SQL tools, such as ADF and Microsoft SQL server.
