Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Follow standard practices:
Preparing the Test Plan document, Requirement Traceability Metrics, and Risk analysis doc.
Creating Smoke, System, Regression, and E2E Test Suites.
Generating the Test Summary Reports and publishing to the stack holders on daily basis.
Contributing to your BU/Practice by
Documenting your learnings from the current work and engaging in the external tech community by writing blogs, contributing in Github, Stack overflow, meetups / conferences etc.
Keep updated on the latest technologies with technology trainings and certifications
Actively participate in organization level activities and events related to learning, formal training, interviewing, special projects etc.
Qualifications
Required
MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
8+ years of experience in application development and/or test automation framework development.(Lead Role)
Excellent coding skills using Java programming language.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable, configurable, and robust test automation solutions.
Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several UI and API test automation solutions leveraging one or more of the following: Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, RestAssured
The candidate should have a good understanding of writing API Testing automation, across various systems and have strongs skill set for asserting the test cases.
Hands-on experience in specifying, establishing, and managing test environments and test data for load and functional automation projects.
Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g. Git, Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins etc)
Good communication skills; the ability to explain and present details to both technical and business audiences.
Strong quality mindset and exploratory testing skills to uncover complex bugs in the systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Proven experience in understanding the requirements quickly and designing efficient test cases and test data.
Knowledge/experience with data migration testing of large enterprise applications.
Proven ability to drive cross-team technical discussions and decision-making.
