As a QA Tester specializing in Automation Testing with Selenium, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to design and execute test cases, develop automated test scripts, and identify and report software defects. Your ability to implement effective testing strategies using Selenium will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality software to our clients.
Job Responsibilities include but are limited to:
Provide hands-on expertise for test automation architecture, strategy, script design and execution, automation framework, virtualization, etc.
Deliver technical leadership to the enterprise-grade company to drive core software quality assurance best practices for tools, automation, test data, and more
Evaluate the current automation and testing implementations and perform a gap analysis to provide strategic technical direction
Lead and mentor a growing team of software quality assurance engineers
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for web-based applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for effective test planning.
Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test suites to ensure the quality and accuracy of software applications.
Conduct thorough and systematic testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to identify and report defects, ensuring they are appropriately prioritized and resolved.
Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes and updates.
Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to developers on code quality and testability.
Investigate and solve issues reported by customers or identified during testing to reproduce, isolate, and document them effectively.
Collaborate with the development team to implement and improve the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes.
Create and maintain test data and test environments to support testing activities.
Document test plans, test cases, and test results, providing clear and concise reports to stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in automation testing to continuously enhance testing processes.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience with software test automation development
2+ years of recent experience working with Cypress and JavaScript
Extensive hands-on experience with test automation framework architecture
Recent experience leading QA engineers on test automation best practices
Proven understanding of CI/CD pipelines
Passion for automating tests and delivering high-quality features in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of experience on working in JIRA tool.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, testing types, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Proficiency in writing efficient and maintainable automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java (or other programming languages like Python or C#).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools (e.g., Jenkins).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of testing activities.
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
