Introduction:
• The role demands strong functional, domain expertise along with functional and automation testing skills
• Work collaboratively with respective local, global counterparts, stakeholders on the BAU as well as strategic initiatives
• Work with relevant stakeholders to create, drive automation test strategy and design implementation.
• Carries out procedures to design & build automation frameworks to ensure that information systems meet standards and end user requirements that aligns with DevOps model.
• Mitigate risks to Business through timely and precise designing & execution of automated test scripts under minimal supervision.
• Preparation, execution and delivery of test results.
• Produce reporting, test results/screenshots & upload to Agile Central/JIRA /Share point
What will you be doing?
• Develops very good understanding of the Research platform & allocated applications with the same to operate as SME
• Identifying test conditions from project documentation, liaise with Developers and PO’s in order to develop test cases which provide full test coverage.
• Proactive in the identification of program risks / issues / concerns and highlight it to the respective counterparts along with mitigation approach as applicable
• Work cohesively with testing, Dev & Project management teams of research IT
• Strong in technical domain and attitude towards helping to resolve the roadblocks for the team.
• Create/Develop/Enhance automation frameworks, planning, execution and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across systems.
• Contribute to robust, scalable, and high quality test automation solutions for functional, regression testing.
• Contribute to the building of a continuous Integration (CI) environment and ongoing process improvement activities.
• Collaboration and coordination with Dev, QA and release teams to implement end to end automation solutions w.r.t. deployment, code versioning and automation tools.
• Identify required improvements in the test and development processes; make contributions to our automation tools that address specific needs.
• Participate in requirements gathering and analysis activities and assessing the application from test automation perspective.
• Understanding functionality related to given module/components.
• Well versed with DevOps and agile methodology; aligned with drive and implementing automation solutions.
• Set up necessary monitoring / profiling tools to identify and isolate performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to accurately estimate evolving work requirements.
• Report status promptly, accurately and as required.
• Build knowledge repository on best practices on using specific test tools.
• Uses utilities and tools to support testing.
What we’re looking for:
• Strong communication, and analytical skills
• Experience in operating as part of the global teams
• Domain background of investment Banking /BFSI industry having over 10 years of experience with hands on Automation testing experience.
• Hands on experience of designing API level test automation frameworks/test harness systems from scratch using Java.
• Hands on experience of implementing BDD framework using Cucumber or similar tools & test harness solutions.
• Working experience of automation frameworks using Webdriver, Test NG.
• Experience of implementing Continuous Integration by Jenkins/similar tools.
• Experience of maintaining automation framework for regular updates, optimization and maintaining on version management tools like GIT.
• Good knowledge of object oriented programming, along with requisite coding and debugging skills.
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of Scrum, Agile and Kanban
• Awareness of investment Banking applications.
• UI and API test automation (Karate preferred tool or Selenium)
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Strong knowledge in Automation Processes
• Prior experience in preparing test metrics/reports.
• Knowledge of relational database systems (preferably MSSQL, Oracle)
• Must be a good communicator, Self-starter, Problem Solver and a Team Player
• Experience of working in an Investment bank
• Educational Qualification: BE / MCA in Computer science
