Your key responsibilities:
Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation; e.g., data-driven testing. Should be creative and proactive thinker to make use of current technologies to provide extensible automation infrastructures.
Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites. Prepare reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts.
Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects. Involved in supporting the build master implement/improve build test processes, environments, and scripts. These build tests ensure that the code drops to quality assurance are of the highest quality.
Participate in the Change Control Board to identify the quality implications of known bugs and the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing process.
Involved to design, execute, build & deploy effective test automation scripts with responsibility in the quality assurance of software development and deployment with emphasis on CI integration of test automation scripts. Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed; i.e., perform manual static testing.
Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
Management and Supervisory
Provide technical guidance to junior-level test automation engineer.
Assist the Test Architect or Test Manager in creating frameworks, test plans and schedules.
Participate in tester interviews, including administering “audition interviews” for Manual Test Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, and Test Technician candidates.
Provide the Test Architect or Test Manager with performance assessments for assigned junior personnel.
If needed should be able to step in leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the automation effort, and its schedule and prioritization
Your skills and experience
Should have 7-9 total test experience with 5-7 years of relevant automation experience
Past experience in developing automation frameworks for ETL, web, API and Web Services.
Exposure to breadth of automation and QA landscape and popular tools and frameworks including open source tools/frameworks
Good experience of CI/CD integrations using Jenkins, Teamcity or equivalent
Good experience and knowledge of Automation tools and respective environment, which should include Selenium WebDriver and good java, python programming knowledge.
Hands-on in coding in Python, Java, Selenium. Appium is added advantage
Experienced in Functional and Regression Automation Testing with Selenium WebDriver & BDD Cucumber for the Web and Client server based applications.
Should have good understanding and experience of Manual Testing, related processes and Test Case Automation Readiness preparation.
Knowledge of API’s and Web Service testing is added advantage (Excel, XML…)
Good knowledge of database programming using java and good SQL knowledge.
Idea in Test Case Prioritization & designing test data properly
Debugging and running the Tests
The ability to speak and write so as to be clearly understood by others, using appropriate vocabulary, grammar and style. Excellent presentation skills, suitably adapted and targeted to the audience.
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Experience in using other automation tools is added advantage.
Hands-on working experience on Test Automation using Data Driven, Keyword Driven and Hybrid Framework.
Passionate about QA and excellent communicator having ability to engage effectively with Customers, Dev leads, Architects, Senior managers

Understanding the DevOps Life Cycle
