Position Overview:
This is a key role within Hubbell India (Utility Automation). These individual leverages their strong expertise to help the company develop and maintain world-class, leading edge in the Python with selenium test automation for the product domain or the utility industry. The individual will participate in the full cycle of Test strategy development including unit testing, reviewing and evaluating automation script, and other applicable deliverables. In addition, the individual will participate in product testing, Test design reviews, and provide support in resolving customer technical support issues pertaining to the software development life cycle. In this role, the individual will be responsible for all aspects of software engineering including new Test Automation development, modification of existing designs, sustaining engineering, and product validation with respect to the testing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Python and Pytest.
Design and implement UI and API automation tests to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications.
Perform manual testing activities, including test case creation, execution, and defect reporting.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test automation requirements and implement effective testing strategies.
Execute and analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues using JIRA or similar tools.
Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide valuable insights into test automation processes.
Skills and Experience
Must have at least 5years of industry experience of working on Test Automation projects, testing and validation.
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for development of Automation test cases using Python.
Involved in developing the test plans, test cases and test strategies for multiple releases.
Identifying testing gaps and provide inputs to improve quality.
Developing and maintaining automation test suites.
Reviewing test automation scripts.
Making sure of product\feature quality and delivery timelines.
Coordinating with dev/test teams across geographies.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting best practices in test automation and software quality assurance.
