Essential Functions
Create software test plans and contribute to test strategies for feature/functionality.
Provide guidance and mentorship. Make recommendations.
Develop deep knowledge of the product, business domain and the user base.
Recommend tools and processes to streamline and optimize the QA function within the team.
Provide guidance/mentorship to more junior QA Engineers to help un-block and level-up the team.
Collaborate with POs to understand product requirements; Create and execute automated software test plans.
Leverage Automated Test Suites extensively, advocate for Functional areas that can be automated.
Actively work on new releases through the testing and deployment processes.
Explore edge and corner cases. Look for potential defects.
Collaborate with software engineers to understand the design & architecture of the software.
Participate in all agile ceremonies and meetings.
Education and Experience
4-6 yrs industry experience.
BS in CS/Masters in CS or equivalent.
Technology Requirements
Good programming/scripting skills for Automation utilizing Cucumber/Gherkin (Java/Selenium)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Advanced understanding of quality tools, data, and processes.
Ability to corelate Quality decisions to Customer impact.
Good understanding of the Product and Business Domain.
Strong in looking for non-conformance to documented product requirements/behaviors, and quality standards.
Good in understanding and setting up of small to medium complexity Test Environments.
