Responsibilities:
As an Automation Test Specialist, you use your experience and technical knowledge in Software Engineering to:
Create effective and achievable IT test strategies and operating models using modern software development and quality practices.
Lead efforts to consistently apply and improve Telstra Test strategies, architectural standards, and operating systems to enhance customer and stakeholder experiences.
Collaborate with external vendors and organizations to develop and implement new testing strategies in a quickly changing marketplace.
Build strong relationships with internal IT and business managers through authentic engagement and networking skills.
Use research and problem-solving methods to generate insights and improve Telstra testing processes.
Essential Skills
Proficient in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe – preferably 7+ years of experience - understand and implement Agile values and principles, facilitate agile ceremonies, coach/mentor teams.
Hands on experience working on open-source test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, Serenity, Cypress, Gauge, and Cucumber
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug software, systems/devices.
Understanding of DevOps principles, including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
Desirable
• Skilled in OSS/BSS in Telecom industry.
• Holds a degree in IT, Business, or Engineering.
• Familiar with design patterns, architecture, and secure coding techniques.
• Desirable to have exposure to Infrastructure as code practices.
