Introduction:
Core responsibility is to execute to the functional testing plan as defined by the Test Lead/Lead Test Engineer with minimal supervision.
Understand and manage the Functional aspect of the project, conducting review of functionality being tested and confirming test coverage.
Work very closely with the Test automation lead to deliver robust test harnesses to meet complex testing needs of various projects.
Responsible for creating and maintaining Automated GUI and backend test cases.
Execute the automated packs and provide consolidated feedback to the lead on a regular basis
What will you be doing?
Time Split: 90% Project Delivery, 10% Non-Core Delivery
To act as Module Automation Lead
Participate in Test Plans
To provide first level of IA and Provide view on Estimates
Responsible for handling automation tasks of key E2E business scenarios and for delivering scripts according to project timelines in line with the Automation Teams quality standards.
Engage and Govern the CICD integration for responsible projects.
Should be expert in CI / CD and DevOps tools.
Handholding and mentoring BA3’s and new SI team members
Execution of the existing CIT and SIT Automated regression packs and consolidated feedback to the lead on a regular basis.
Monitoring Automation progress and highlighting risks.
Proactively take up additional deliveries / tasks
Works with the BA3/ BA4 / AVP / VP to deliver the assigned tasks.
Identify the test cases for Regression and keep Regression pack optimized and automated
Should have Agile delivery knowledge
Own the reusable test cases creation.
Own and carry out test execution.
Own and drive the Domain knowledge within the team
Liaise and engage landscape teams for E2E tests and other support teams
Very good at Stakeholder management
Participate in the initiatives impacting Testing
Participate in the initiatives impacting wider teams
Strong PL/SQL skills and back end testing skills
Understanding of Lean S/W Development Fundamentals
Great interpersonal and communication skills
What we’re looking for:
Must have 6 to 10 years of experience in Automation in Java/Selenium.
Extensive knowledge of Testing lifecycle and core testing process/techniques using different test approaches
Extensive understanding of Defect management processes
Good Knowledge in Java and Selenium
Knowledge in API testing and Automation in Rest Assured or Karate Framework
Understanding of CI / CD and DevOps methodologies
Good SQL Skills
Exposure to Service Virtualisation using tools like GHT, CA Lisa and custom Java framework
Experience of using test management tools (e.g. Agile Central, JIRA) to manage testing activity and to provide testing metrics
