Job Description

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand project requirements and design test cases.
Identify, prioritize, and execute test cases based on acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of existing features and functionalities.
Participate in the review of code changes and provide feedback on testability and potential areas of improvement.
Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the testing process.
Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
Maintain and enhance the automation test framework to support scalability and maintainability.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in automation testing, particularly related to Cypress.
Contribute to the overall improvement of testing processes and quality standards within the organization.

What skills and experience are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience (X years) as an Automation Tester, with a focus on Cypress.
Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and practices.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
Hands-on experience with Cypress or similar automation testing tools/frameworks.
Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with other automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Protractor, or Puppeteer.
Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts.
Certifications related to software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB, Cypress Certification) would be a plus.
