Primary Skills: Selenium, Java and Pega Automation experience is good to have.
Role purpose:
As a Java expert with Selenium knowledge, the intended purpose of this role would be to understand the current approach of test automation being followed and identify improvement areas, especially in the fields of code structuring and reusability of code to make it more maintainable.
Following the identified improvement areas, general guidelines regarding test coding should be created and presented to the team as well as making sure they are understood and followed by team members.
The candidate is responsible for software test automation design, planning, scripting, and execution.
The individual should be self-motivated, creative, and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment. The individual will work closely with developers, project manager, client and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing automated test iterations, tracking & reporting test results, troubleshooting and coordinating the bug fixes.
The individual should have a strong understanding of agile processes and the related QA lifecycle and automation methodology.
Skills:
• Good to have experience in PEGA with in-depth knowledge on Clipboard, designer studio, tracer etc.
• Expert in Core Java Concepts
• Experience using Selenium in Java context.
• Good, structured thinking
Who you are
Required:
Analysis of existing Java code (with Selenium extension) to understand the current code structure and quality.
Structured understanding on basics of PEGA from basic to advance level.
Setting up guidelines for the structuring the code and improving on modularization and reusability
Identification of patterns in the code that are not following the created guidelines.
Documenting the guidelines for future ways of working and presenting them to the team
Aptitude for analytical concepts, oral and written communication skills, customer focus, teamwork abilities, integrity, and relationship-building skills.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Automation framework design and implementation according to project structure.
Creating, enhancing, selecting, debugging and running test cases.
Organizing, monitoring defect management process, handling changes and conducting regression tests.
Ensuring version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
Documentation, tracking and escalation of issues as appropriate, using JIRA, XRAY
