Job Description

As a Senior Automotive Cybersecurity Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing cybersecurity testing and validation activities for automotive systems. Your role will involve designing test strategies, analyzing test results, providing expert recommendations, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive cybersecurity improvements. This position works within the Cybersecurity division or team, leveraging your experience and expertise to ensure the security of automotive systems.

Your Team
This role will report into the Cybersecurity Test Lead and work collaboratively with a team of test engineers. At the Senior level, you may have the opportunity to provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.

What You Will Do
Develop comprehensive cybersecurity test strategies, plans, and procedures for automotive systems.
Execute complex cybersecurity tests, analyze results, and provide expert recommendations for enhancing cybersecurity controls.
Collaborate with development teams to embed cybersecurity measures throughout the system development lifecycle.
Lead the identification and mitigation of vulnerabilities and potential threats in automotive systems.
Drive the improvement of cybersecurity testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends, industry best practices, and standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior test engineers.

What You Need
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity testing or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices in the automotive industry.
Proficiency in conducting advanced cybersecurity testing using various manual and automated techniques.
Strong understanding of automotive protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN) and vehicle architecture.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

What is Nice to Have
Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, OSCP).
Extensive experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security code review.
Familiarity with automotive-specific testing tools and frameworks.
In-depth understanding of relevant automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Proficiency in programming languages (C, C++, Python).
