Provide leadership and technical guidance to a team of skilled quality professionals
Responsible for transforming the existing software quality team into a world class Quality Engineering function
Manage the creation and execution of manual and automated test cases for functional, regression and end-to-end testing, including both back-end and front-end testing of entire system, subsystems and interfaces to other systems
Responsible for defining QA strategy, approach and execution in development projects
Focus on continuous improvements including usage of appropriate tools and frameworks to manage testing process , automation and performance testing
Formulate and manage the development and implementation of quality goals working with development and product leaders
Perform resource allocation, evaluates progress and results regarding team activities and goal attainment
Responsible for assessing resource requirements, recruiting and retaining people with right talent/skills
Ensure QA activities are tracked and executed from new development implementation to release management to comply to process and procedures
Create initiatives and action plans for effective contributions from QA to the organization
Guides and coaches the team members for improving their performance
Solve problems in robust and creative ways and demonstrate solid verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Collaborate across all teams such as product managers, development managers, architects and operations across multiple time zones
Provide status updates to the stakeholders and senior management team
Qualifications
You have:
Minimum 15 years experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering of which minimum 8 years in a managerial role in QA
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Proven experience in web-based applications/technology with expertise in driving automated testing for Cloud based web applications, Micro Services, Restful APIs etc.
Broad knowledge and hands-on technical experience in test methodologies, automation frameworks, performance testing tools etc.
Good understanding and working knowledge of CI/CD concepts, automated testing, configuration management, software application deployment pipelines
Proven experience with a globally distributed, multi-location software engineering and quality assurance organization; familiar with releasing software applications bound by an SLA
Expertise in understanding and testing in a complex multi-layered web software environment
Ability to communicate complex technical requirements and issues appropriately to various audiences: Engineering, QA teams, SaaS Operations, executives, customers
Proven experience driving the software testing or automation process utilizing in-depth knowledge of state of art SQA methodology, tools and software development life cycles
Experience with Agile software development methodology and tools
Excellent oral, written and analytical skills and demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement
Experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated testing of high transaction SaaS applications using Selenium or similar automated testing tool is a plus
Experience with JIRA, GitHub or similar version control management tools, Test management tools such as qTest
