As Head of Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering highly effective, high performing Quality Engineering capability that is fully integrated and embedded into the Technology Engineering teams. You would be performing below responsibilities –
Role Responsibilities
Be a key enabler to deliver multi-year roadmap to deliver enterprise-wide Quality Engineering services by uplifting from where we are today, define the Target state and the roadmap to deliver the target state across all functions/service lines within Technology and working closely with the Product organization.
Ensure a strong operating environment in collaboration with Engineering and Product teams and various Lines of businesses (LOBs) leading to high quality delivery, faster time-to-market and continual productivity improvements.
Be responsible for Testing Strategy, Design, Implementation, Automation serving all service lines and peripheral systems and also help Roll out for Cloud / SaaS based platforms.
Use knowledge and experience in adopting industry leading Testing Automation approach (esp. where a 3rd party platform maybe used with Integration), Quality Assurance best practices, processes, frameworks and tools to improve the overall quality of applications and increase velocity and confidence in software delivery.
Help the teams to build and own a comprehensive test suite, all the way from system and cross-platform testing to performance, scalability, security, and availability testing.
Identify Testing Design gaps and opportunities through initiative-based assessments, validate corrective measures and appropriate automation opportunities and tools
Manage relationship with key stakeholders like Solution Architects, Platform/Enterprise Architecture, Program Managers etc. including the required external vendor platform engagements and commitments.
Be accountable for recruitment and optimization of existing Testing teams to fully adopt the DevOps, Agile practices in line with HR and Technology guidelines.
Role Requirements
15 years of overall experience with exposure to corporate IT in both agile and waterfall environments, IT Service Delivery and Process Re-engineering under DevOps
Delivery focus experience on testing, testing strategy & methodologies and awareness of market leading testing tools, Automation Testing techniques & methodologies.
Exposure to 3rd party platforms as the core with integrations into the key internal systems where testing was transformed/optimized is a big plus.
Experience within Cross-border Payments/Remittance space of the Banking Technology is a big plus.
Strong Program Management capabilities
Experience in Business Stakeholder Management
Understanding of key DevOps tools and their integration with appropriate automation
Sound knowledge of controls across project lifecycle, business strategies, processes, tools and techniques.
Ability to work directly with business stakeholders, understanding needs and articulating ideas
Ability to work with stakeholders and vendor partners.
Excellent in mentoring and coaching.
Knowledge of gathering KPI measurements and reporting
Interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate the case for investments and alternatives in the language of business.
Strong background in people management and development in a change.
