As a Senior QA Engineer specializing in data engineering projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create test plans, test cases, and perform system integration testing (SIT) of ETL tools. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience in data validation, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Utilize your expertise in data engineering projects testing to ensure the quality and accuracy of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations.
Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and perform system integration testing (SIT) of ETL tools.
Write SQL queries to perform QA of ETL processes and validate data transformations.
Validate data sources and ensure the accuracy of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
Review data mappings and collaborate with the development team to create and execute effective SIT test plans and test cases.
Work closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Developers to ensure timely and effective testing efforts.
Write SQL queries to extract data for test case data comparison and validation.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members, and collaborate to resolve issues and ensure project success.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
7 to 8 years of experience in QA testing, with a focus on data engineering projects.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing.
Experience creating test plans, test cases, and performing SIT of ETL tools.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with stakeholders.
