Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Design and develop a comprehensive test framework to ensure quality.
Lead team QA activity to ensure adherence to best practices
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create a detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using testing tools.
Identify, record, document and track bugs using respective tools like Jira
Work closely with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defects.
Be familiar with testing tools and methodologies.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including education on quality assurance concepts and best practices
Utilize Agile software development methods and encourage best practices
Emphasize quality and user focus, inspiring others
Incorporate Design thinking aspects
Requirements:
Required:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Proven work experience in software product development life cycle
Proven work experience in software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with manual device testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Experience with Agile software development
Experience with version control systems (git, mercurial or others)
Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties autonomously without much supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to solve problems and think creatively
Passion for creating something new and proactively meeting user needs
Preferred:
Experience developing and testing discrete event simulation models
Experience in healthcare and medical device testing
