Responsibilities:
Leads the End-to-End testing with an overall vision of test-driven development process & proactively involving with the agile team to execute it
Owns end to end Test planning, Test documentation, Test script creation/approval of the entire product being developed.
Devises test strategy outlining the end-to-end testing of the tool or application developed. Plan test objectives, scope, depth of the testing required, test techniques and resources required for the testing process.
Prepares a detailed test plan that outlines the test objectives, schedule, deliverables, test environment setup and resource allocation.
Manages the team by assigning tasks, setting priorities and monitoring progress. Trains the team by reviewing the test scenarios, actively providing inputs for test run planning, analysis of test results and improve quality of test/defects documentation.
Collaborates with the test team to create test scenarios and cases that cover all the possible functionalities.
Ensures that the test cases are comprehensive, effective and adhere to the test strategy.
Gets hands on with test case documentation and execution
Identifies the various categories of testing – functional, regression, load, performance and integration. Classify them and ensure all applicable testing is planned and executed.
Identify opportunities for automation and bring in speed and cost reduction by automation repetitive test scripts especially in case of regression suites
Reviews all test artefacts like test cases, test scripts and test data, to ensure their quality, consistency and adherence to the test strategy and plan. Approves test scripts, runs and results as required.
Lead testing across various technology teams and bring them together for integration testing as well
Oversees execution of test cases, ensuring that the testing process follows the test plan and that the team addresses issues promptly.
Monitors testing progress and provide regular updates to clients and management. Consolidate, Report & analyze the findings and prepare comprehensive test reports.
Tracks and manages defects using a defect tracking system. liaise with developers to resolve defects promptly.
Reports all relevant metrics and continuously improves processes to align with expected metrics set as targets.
Assess the effectiveness of the testing process, identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality and efficiency of the testing activities.
Support end user testing
Qualifications/Skills
Engineering degree or equivalent from an accredited university or higher education institution
At least 5-7 years of Experience in software testing
Problem-solving skills
Flexibility and being open to change
Expert in Agile methodology
Expert in at least one test automation tool
Ability to work remotely with other collaborators towards a common goal, experience desired with an offshore company
