Skillset requirements:
Must Have – that are needed to fit in
L2/L3 network protocol (TCP/IP, IGMP, QOS, DHCP, VLAN, Ethernet OAM, GDB, SIP, Voice protocols, GPON, XGSPON) testing
Experience in Broadband technologies (DSL, GPON, G.Fast, DSLAM,OLT, ONT)
Working Knowledge of Functional/Non-functional test methods
Knowledge on software Test cycle, test plan / test case creation and participate in development of test strategies
Understanding of End to End test setup topology with excellent debugging skill
Ability to perform System level Functional , Non-functional tests and run regression testing on new software/hardware
Develop and execute tests to validate customer use cases, ability to Reproduce field issues and validate their resolution
Exposure to CI/CD pipe line implementation and maintenance using Jenkins, Groovy scripting Bug reporting/tracking and providing logs
Organized and goal-focused with ability of independently setting day-to-day priorities
Preferred qualification and Education/Experience:
(Bachelor’s degree in CS,EE / 5 - 8 years)
Optional – that gives you an edge
Have worked on testing of ONT/OLT products
Have experience in testing Interop between various products
Hands on experience with different Traffic generators like Spirent , ixia, Abacus, Shenick etc.
Automation /scripting knowledge using Tcl/Python/and Robot framework
Use traffic generators to create real-world traffic streams for video, data, and voice related testing
