We are looking for a talented Lead Performance Engineer. Ideal candidates should have a software engineering background and be passionate about building tools to improve team’s quality and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Define and publish end to end load and performance test strategy
Prepare end to end load and performance test plans, test scripts, load simulators and test harnesses
Work closely with the engineering and qa team(s) during load/performance testing/tuning, and coordinate troubleshooting efforts
Analyze various components of an application (i.e web server, application server, microservices, database, etc.)
Monitor and collect test results, conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and bottlenecks
Evaluate latest performance monitoring tools and make recommendations
Primary Skills
Jmeter
Python
Experience
8-10 years in load and performance testing
Hands-on knowledge in working with JMeter or similar load and performance and reporting tools.
Demonstrates industry standard best practices in developing performance test scripts
SQL and Unix knowledge to work on test data needs / log analysis
In-depth knowledge and experience testing Transactional, Message-based and Web-based applications.
Hands on experience using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Zabbix and Splunk
Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
Excellent communication, documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills
Self-starter, and can work independently with minimal support`
Nice to have:
Experience in one or more programming languages such as Java and/or python
Familiar with Docker and/ or Kubernetes and Cloud concepts.
