We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Test responsible for ensuring quality assurance of software solutions for remote connectivity software that connects medical research and laboratory work instruments with Cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Responsible for definition of software test strategy, test plan, test infrastructure, planning and execution of automation and manual test cases
Demonstrated ability to write and review Software Verification Plans and organize, lead, and execute formal tests.
Define test plans, test scenarios, and manual and automated test scripts for functional and regression testing
Actively support the development team in the investigation of identified issues (root cause analysis, reproducibility steps etc.)
Participate in requirements and architecture reviews to come up with an appropriate test strategy
Develop Automated test cases using Python, Selenium or Cypress
Collaboration with other functions to define and execute the appropriate testing approach
Support the continuous improvement of the software testing process
Work in an iterative product release environment, continuously focusing on quality and delivery goals
The required qualifications for the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
8+ years of experience in commercial software development with hands-on experience in manual and automation testing
3+ years of experience using Python, Selenium or Cypress for test automation
Experience working in Web and cloud-based software environment
Experience working with scripting language such as bash script
Ability to comprehend and address functional issues within the entire test system
Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in a cross-functional team.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Understanding of software development processes in a regulated environment
Software development experience in the life sciences / medical device domain
Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
Experience with Git and Linux
