Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test data, test scenarios, and other testing related documentation based on the requirements and technical specifications.
2. Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and ensure data integrity standards.
3. Plan, develop, execute, maintain, and improve Automated Test Frameworks and Automated Test Scripts for AWS cloud-based Web and Database applications.
4. Identify areas for improvement in quality for systems/applications.
5. Create and maintain libraries and object repositories.
6. Participate in application planning meetings and perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections.
7. Execute automated test scripts, record bugs in JIRA within the sprint schedule.
8. Demonstrate the automated scripts to key stakeholders and seek the sign off.
9. Work closely with the Development, BA and Business teams to gather and understand use cases for automation.
10. Proactively raise risks and issues to scrum master and identify the mitigation plan to overcome hurdles and meet the schedule on-time with quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
· 8+ years of previous experience as a test automation engineer using Rest Assured, Postman, Selenium/Cucumber or equivalent and other open-source test automation frameworks.
· 4+ years working as Automation Engineer leveraging test automation solutions for functional and load testing of web-based technologies and databases on-prem and on Cloud.
Key Skills:
· Strong understanding of web, mobile, API, desktop, packaged and database test automation technologies.
· Good understanding of programming languages like .Net, Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, Python, Typescript, XML.
· Experience testing web applications developed using Angular or React frameworks.
· Experience working with either of the cloud providers such as AWS. Azure or Google (preferably AWS).
· Experience in AWS cloud S3, EC2, Lambda, SFTP, Faregate.
· Experience in Agile ways of working and using JIRA and other defect management tools like Bugzilla.
· Good to have Experience in testing with financial services domain and testing FTP Systems.
· Experience working with Linux, SQL, and Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling etc.
· Hands on experience on implementing ATDD/BDD/MDD/ Model Driven Test Automation
· Hands on experience with Selenium web driver, Cucumber, Appium, Rest Assured, SoapUI, Swagger, Postman, Protractor, Jmeter, LoadRunner, VisualStudio Load Test, Grinder, Gatling and other industry standard automation frameworks
· Experience with tools like Browser stack, Sauce labs SAAS testing platforms.
· Expertise in creating UI test frameworks using Page Object Model.
· Experienced in Cloud Testing preferably using AWS DevOps
· Hands-on experience specifying, establishing, and managing test environments and test data for load and functional test automation.
· Creates and maintains moderately complex automated scripts. Develops reusable automated scripts from a variety of interfaces.
· Schedules and performs testing as assigned; submits errors and issues to development for correction, and retests once errors have been corrected; tests corrected code. Tracks defects and causal analysis to closure.
· Prepares automated test plans and test scripts for software corrections and enhancements. Reviews test plans and test reports.
· Uses automated Quality Assurance systems to facilitate daily activities.
· Analyzes script results and reports issues as requested. Performs code reviews of automated scripts from team members.
· Have good Logical, Analytical and Problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment.
· Good written and oral communication skills.
