About this role:
The Lead Software Test/Quality Engineer will support the quality system activities related to software development, with a focus on design control and risk management in accordance with stated program/project objectives. This position contributes to the completion of milestones associated with software projects and activities using existing procedures. Senior Software Quality Engineer requires minimal supervision and guidance in the performance of their duties and requires in-depth knowledge and experience in software
quality and design controls related to integration projects.
What you’ll do:
Perform duties as an individual contributor and/or team member with 100% hands-on work
Write, execute, update and review test protocols in accordance with project/program specifications
Record, report, and verify software defects to accurately depict the software requirements, providing
defect metrics and trends analysis to project teams
Understand various integration patterns: pub/sub queuing; AWS API Gateway; REST API’s; messaging / integration technologies (AWS SQS, TIBCO, Informatica, MQSeries, etc.)
Perform end-to-end testing
Lead test design reviews and risk assessments with core team members
Work closely with the Software Engineering team toward the reporting and resolution of design issues and/or software defects to include risk assessment.
Participate in Validation throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure the software meets user needs requirements for a regulated environment.
Provide guidance and support to colleagues with less experience.
Provide, analyze and report test data to validation reports.
Generate and update traceability matrices and quality metrics.
Remain current on new and changing requirements and technologies that impact software quality.
Analyze problems as they occur and recommend potential solutions using software quality knowledge
What you’ll need:
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems or relational
functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience
A minimum 6+ years of in-depth knowledge and experience of software testing
Experience with: Integration Projects, Architecture, Tools and Methodologies, Windows environments,
Web application testing, and working knowledge of SQL, working knowledge of Java and/or Python
Experience with test automation tools
Ability to create scripts, run queries, and interpret results.
Able to train and help colleagues with less experience; be able to lead test projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
