Responsibilities:
Conduct manual testing of WordPress websites to identify bugs, defects, and usability issues
Perform functional, regression, compatibility, and performance testing to ensure optimal site performance across various browsers and devices
Collaborate closely with development and design teams to understand project requirements and verify successful implementation
Document and report test results, including clear and accurate bug reports, to developers for resolution
Participate in cross-functional team meetings to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines
Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and recommend best practices for testing methodologies and tools
Identify, record, document, alert, and track defects for developers to fix
Update and maintain test cases
Actively participate in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming sessions and provide meaningful inputs
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in testing user facing WordPress websites - Experience in the publishing domain a plus
BCA with an above average GPA required
MCA with an above average GPA required
Strong knowledge of core software manual QA methodologies, tools, processes, and the development ecosystem
Proven desktop and mobile device debugging, documentation and troubleshooting skills
Proficient in bug tracking tools (Jira, TestRail)
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, and CMS
Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as a reliable team-worker
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with fixed deadlines
Experience with modern/advanced testing tools such as TestRail, Browser Stack, Postman, Chrome Tools, DOM inspector, JMeter, AI, Selenium IDE, GIT, Jira, Cucumber, et al.
