Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through thorough manual testing. As a Manual Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases to identify software defects and ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project documentation and functional requirements.
Manual Testing:
Execute manual test cases to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues not covered by predefined test cases.
Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of existing functionality after code changes.
Defect Tracking and Reporting:
Document and track defects, providing clear and detailed information to developers for resolution.
Collaborate with the development team to facilitate the timely resolution of identified issues.
Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of project requirements and quality standards.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to discussions related to software quality.
Test Documentation:
Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing results.
Provide comprehensive test reports to project stakeholders, summarizing testing activities and outcomes.
Process Improvement:
Actively contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Provide feedback on areas for process enhancement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Manual Test Engineer or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks.
Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
ISTQB or other testing certifications are a plus.
