Key Responsibilities:
Good understanding of Rest API testing.
Work with the Onsite and Offshore teams to understand functionality and test plans.
Ability to translate functional understanding into effective test cases.
Work as an integral part of the team and should be responsible for quality.
Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.
Execute test plans and create test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
Create test tools that facilitate data gathering and test method execution.
Support development by verifying fixture software or any software used during production.
Provide test reports and other test metrics.
Bring in Advanced QA practices.
Essential experience/skills:
Proven work experience as a software test engineer.
API Automation using Rest Assured library is desirable
Decent SQL skills to verify tests on the database.
Proven experience in testing applications on web, mobile, desktop etc.
Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and validations.
Interest in all aspects of testing Sanity, Smoke, regression, integration etc.
BS degree in Computer Science or related field
Desired experience:
Experience of using Microsoft ADO
Performance testing using Jmeter
Experience of Microsoft Azure.
Experience in API testing using Postman
