Job Responsibilities:
Provide managerial oversight for local/remote QA teams and deliver outcomes by considering both individual performance and team goals and ensuring alignment with the overall product line objectives
Develop your team to grow them as test engineers and as people, to make their positions at athena their “best job ever”
Provide technical leadership and guidance in the areas of quality-first mindset and best practices, automation, system testing, performance and scalability.
Define a strategy for advancing automation for a significant area of the product, and take the lead in execution of that strategy
Collaborate with our engineering and product management teams to define priorities, analyze defects and escalations and create a QA roadmap for your teams
Typical Qualifications:
10+ years experience in a quality engineering roles, with experience in an Agile environment
3+ years of experience growing and managing local/remote QA teams
Demonstrated technical leadership and strategic approach to quality engineering
Strong experience in Selenium web driver, Selenium Grid and Cucumber
Expertise in programming languages such as: Perl, Java, AWS, JavaScript/jQuery as well as modern
JavaScript frameworks like React
Proficiency in Agile methodology for delivering product features development and testing
Experience testing at every level of the tech stack. You’ve written automated tests for a complex system including APIs and a modern web UI
Expertise in testing tools, frameworks, test design and best practices
Knowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL databases
Experience with aspects of performance and scalability
Experience with operational aspects such as logging, monitoring, troubleshooting
