Responsibilities:
Designs test strategies, updates, develops test plan for networking products
Develops , analyzes and reviews scripts for test cases on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
Tests cloud management software using GUI based testing as well as API testing.
Will work in a sprint model to deliver quality software and complete automation.
Will exit each sprint with zero automation backlog.
Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development test regarding product quality status, project progress, and issue resolution. Represents the quality engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex projects.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical & Electronics or equivalent.
Typically 3+ years' experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experienced automation skills [python, Selenium, cypress]
REST API, Linux, Jira tools.
Knowledge of API based test tools like Postman would be extremely valuable.
Good networking domain knowledge on Ethernet switching, Layer 2, Layer 3 Networking Protocols, Data Center Technologies, Network Operating Systems.
Experience in Data Center Technologies like EVPN, VxLAN would be a huge advantage.
Good troubleshooting skills in a complex L2 & L3 Network solution environment
Proven experience in software test methodologies, tools and processes -IxNetwork, Spirent Test Centre, IxLoad, Python etc.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
