Responsibilities (Including and not limited to):
Responsible for creating a comprehensive and well-structured System Stress and Solution Test plans and test cases for Switching platform products.
Perform thorough Solution and System Testing for Protocols and Features
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track defects
Collaborate with internal teams (Development, Engineering Support Teams) in troubleshooting issues observed during internal testing and end-user deployments.
Participate in fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative engineering practices
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Team player – highly motivated to drive things technically
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically 4-12 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Have Good Networking domain knowledge on Ethernet switching, Layer 2, Layer 3 Networking Protocols, Access security, Data Centre Technologies, Network Operating Systems, Network management systems.
Should have hands-on experience and expertise in testing Unicast and Multicast Routing Protocols ( MSTP, PVST,BGP, OSPFv2/v3, PIM-SM/PIM-SSM, IGMP/MLD, MSDP, VRF, IPv6 etc.)
Experience in network security protocols 802.1x, mac-auth, AAA, Radius, Tacacs, DHCP, DNS, SNMP etc
Should have hands-on experience and expertise in testing network resiliency/redundancy solutions (MCLAG, VRRP, BFD , stacking etc.)
Experience in DC Technologies like EVPN, vPC, VxLAN
Experience in interop testing with Firewalls, Gateways & Controllers would be an added advantage
Experience in end to end testbed deployment and troubleshooting
Good troubleshooting skills in a complex L2 & L3 Network solution environment
Proven experience in software test methodologies, tools and processes -IxNetwork, Spirent Test Centre, IxLoad, Python etc.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive Systems Test plans and Stress & Performance & Solution test cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
