Role and Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter to assess the performance of our applications.
• Conduct load and stress tests to identify and address performance bottlenecks and ensure optimal system performance under various scenarios.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to pinpoint performance issues, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Evaluate the scalability of applications and recommend enhancements to support growing user loads.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to implement performance enhancements and ensure the scalability of new features.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of performance test plans, scripts, results, and recommendations.
Qualification and Skills Requirement:
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5-8 years) in performance testing and engineering.
• Expert in JMeter (primary) and any performance tool (like NeoLoad, BlazeMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, etc.).
• Should be able to understand requirement gathering and create test plans.
• Sound knowledge in Java.
• Need to be proficient in Script development on HTTP/web protocol.
• E2E page rendering performance test using any performance tool.
• Should be able to write custom requests in JMeter or any other performance tool.
• Should be able to write custom codes in JMeter (JavaScript/bean shell) or any other tool
• Knowledge of API and Database Performance testing.
• Knowledge of capturing different performance metrics using Grafana and Dynatrace.
• Good knowledge of different Monitoring tools like Grafana, and Dynatrace.
• Clear understanding of Work Load Modeling.
• Experience in taking heap dump and thread dump.
• Knowledge of Performance Baseline and Benchmarking, along with different types of performance testing Load, Stress, Volume, Endurance, Resiliency, and DB query testing.
• Should be able to contribute individually and have a proactive approach towards the job at hand.
• Should be able to capture different performance metrics.
• Should be able to predict future requirements and prepare accordingly.
• Should be able to prepare and analyze reports and trends and explain the summary to the stakeholders.
• Should be able to suggest performance tuning and improvement solutions.
• Able to share test summary reports and participate in onshore/offshore meetings
• Excellent English Language verbal and written communication
• Ability to foster strong customer relationships and deliver results that meet customer expectations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in agile project management and collaboration tools.
Nice to have:
• Experience in conducting performance testing for applications deployed on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of performance testing strategies specific to microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for automated and continuous testing.
