Position summary:
Evolent is looking for a Performance Test Engineer to be a key member of the Application Development team. This individual will play a critical role in executing Evolent mission by developing and maintaining performance test suites to ensure success in terms of both revenue and timely release of current and next generation products and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops test suites to conduct load, stress and performance testing according to industry accepted best practices
Designs, develops, executes and analyzes the performance test cases and scripts through analysis of product specifications and software requirements
Maintains the quality and overall integrity of the test data
Creates defects when issues are uncovered
Writes, implements and reports status for all load/performance testing scenarios used for testing including performance under load, scalability and performance bottlenecks
Analyzes test results and provides explanations of results to assist in the tuning process
Work as a member of SCRUM team delivering high quality deliverables within the defined sprints
Minimum 3 Years of Relevant Experience in Performance and Load testing on Enterprise Web Applications.
Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, WorkLoad Design, Test Cases Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Defect Management & Configuration Management.
Expertise in Performance Testing tools using JMeter or Performance center.
Execute Benchmark, load, stress, endurance and other non-functional tests. Monitor application logs to determine system behavior. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.
Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection and Database Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications.
Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis.
Publish results and receive appropriate signoff. Prepare detail status reports, and monitoring of all defects and issues.
Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application.
Strong problem-solving skills and very good time management skills.
Technical Skills
Good expertise and experience in PE testing tool using like JMeter is a must
Good to have experience in other PE tools like Performance Tester, Performance Center, AppDynamics, and Load Runner
Expertise in Web Services PE using JMeter / Parasoft
Very good expertise in Scripting (HTML/HTTP, Web Services, TrueClient, ODBC)
Technology Development stack worked on: .Net Core, C#,/ Java/ Python
Good understanding of SQL Server Architecture, SQL, Performance Stats, SQL tuning, Explain plan, Tracing tools, Hints, Fragmentation, Partitions.
Expertise in HTTP Watch, Fiddler, and Chrome Dev tools (Lighthouse, Page speed Insights, Performance, Snagit).
Drill down performance issues using AppDynamics (for slow calls, bottle necks, memory, CPU), Dynatrace LR Metrics, Perfmon, SPLUNK
Expertise in designing, executing, and monitoring load, stress and endurance test for Rest Service, Web Service and Web Application.
Knowledge of workload modeling for Performance tests to simulate the production behavior.
Automated PE through CI / CD – Bamboo / Atlassian /Jenkins
Create rich PE Dashboards via writing Macros or some Development experience / and or selenium automation or Puppeteer Automation
Well versed with Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence
Qualification
BCA, BE/ B Tech (CS), M Tech (CS), MCA or equivalent degree.
Experience under iterative/agile methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work well in a team environment and individually
