Job responsibilities:
Executes application performance testing and technical troubleshooting in order to find limitations and to fine tune application / Infrastructure performance.
Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development & testing
Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for performance engineering of secure, stable code and systems
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Should Have 8+ years experience in Performance Testing/DevOps
Strong hands-own knowledge of performance engineering and testing
Hands-on experience in building application / Infrastructure performance load models
Experience in developing test approaches & strategies
Experience in writing detailed test plans and test scenarios
Ability to code complex automated scripts using C and Core Java using Blazemeter - Jmeter & OpenText LoadRunner - VUgen for webservices, SOAP, REST APIs and MQ
Ability to script with enhanced correlation techniques, parameterization, validate against multiple users, and generate robust error handling scripts
Measurements of application performance and processing ceilings to identify tuning opportunities or prepare for growth
Good knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS. Performance considerations while testing applications deployed on cloud
Working knowledge of Splunk & Dynatrace for triaging application issues, collecting metrics and validating production volumes to build testing load models
Ability to understand client behavior, use cases, and build load models with appropriate transactions per second, or # of concurrent users, understand/apply pacing s think time, triangulate geographical positions with latency, and chaos engineering
Understand application dependencies/cross-impacts and multiple tech stacks
Have strong ability for driving triage workstreams for defects
Ability to present results at a technical and business level, comfortably call out risks, performance bottlenecks, or tuning recommendations
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Exposure to CI/CD integrated performance testing
Familiarity with mainframes performance concepts
