Principal Responsibilities:
Design and drive the overall software testing strategy
Development of test automation frameworks
Provide technical leadership and support the creation of complex tests
Advise the team on innovative testing products and solutions
Define and administer standard testing architecture methodologies, processes and tools across all engagements.
Author and/or review architecture level design documents
Improve quality practices across functional and non-functional testing
Support the strategic direction of our Continuous Testing (part of CI/CD) & Assurance Practice
Interact and collaborate on products and projects with a team of engineers located in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Provide technical and project leadership between Engineering, Product Management and Manufacturing with the goal of total customer satisfaction. This will require knowledge of core technologies, current trends in software development, as well as reliability and/or architectural specifications of the devices and systems.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another technical field. Software-related field preferred
8+ years of experience desktop and/or web software testing
Experience in setting up a test automation framework from scratch and improving existing frameworks to be more efficient and effective
Experience in code collaboration tools and design reviews
Experience of the full software project lifecycle (agile, DevOps) and a technical appreciation of IT systems and solutions
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability and willingness to travel internationally 1-2 weeks per visit
Good To Have
9+ years of experience in PC and/or Web software testing with any popular automation test framework
Must have passion for testing, technology and innovation combined with an interest in consulting
Exceptionally motivated, driven and dynamic
Excellent facilitation skills
Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation) skills
Must be comfortable working with all levels of company hierarchy
Ability to work in ambiguous situations and seek to add clarity and context to work being undertaken
A desire to continue to develop both personally and professionally
Hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud solutions
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
3+ years of hands-on experience with modern programming languages like Python, Java, C#, C++ or JavaScript.
Ability and/or willingness to work with emulators and hardware tools.
Understanding of RS-232, USB, Ethernet and packet-based communication protocols
Experience with standard version control systems
Familiarity with Rockwell Automation controllers and software tools
