Responsibilities of the role include,
Working closely with development team and perform QA and testing on monthly releases and other development activities within a team
Engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify the root cause of issues / bugs
Collaborating with other teams to investigate complex data problems
Contributing towards creating and maintaining automated test cases to ensure quality of every software release deployed for stakeholders
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases
Designing, developing and executing automation scripts using opensource tools .e.g. JMeter
Creating/maintaining backlog using Azure DevOps
Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products releasing out to UAT and Productions
Requirements and skills
Essential skills and knowledge:
Proven experience in software quality assurance and automated testing (3+ years)
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Carry out stress, performance, and integration testing using script written in C#
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases and acceptance criteria
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Microsoft Visual Studio
Good understanding of APIs and Integration testing
Experience in using tools like postman and swagger
Experience in using code repositories like Git, GitHub
Familiar using relational databases like SQL Server and Oracle and also IDEs like SQL Management Studio and SQL Developer
Good knowledge of agile methodologies Scum or Kanban
Desirable skills and knowledge:
Cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Service (AWS)
Working with 3rd party managed services & support providers (such as Oracle, Microsoft)
Broad knowledge of software and programming
