Key Responsibilities:
Understand the application architecture including various layers and authentication mechanisms and design accurate test plans for validation accordingly
Derive test scenarios/ test cases by analyzing web service specifications
Validate web service operations with parameterized payloads using SOAP UI, Postman or any other clients
Reconcile results obtained from web service tests with database using SQL queries and joins and/ or UI output
Able to interpret complex logic and compare elaborate transactional datasets with extracts and reports
Maintains documentation of test results, analyzes test results, creates and tracks defects and recommends corrective actions
Responsible for grooming and training team in the various facets of testing a legal requirement.
Responsible for developing quality standards, and defining methods and processes to improve product quality
Ideal Experience
Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in Testing applications (UI/API/DB)
Good understanding of service oriented architectures
Proficient in basic database testing
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
Experience in automating web services is an added advantage
