This is a hands-on position which requires analytical thinking to design, document, execute and report on quality testing of the Company’s software. A basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of testing and how to construct tests that exercise all key application features is required.
This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced agile environment. Various aspects of testing theory, test automation, and the Quorum suite of products will be introduced by direct supervision.
What You Will Do:
Designs, modifies, and executes test cases as an individual contributor, and reviews and approves test cases of peers
Creates and updates Test Plans and other guidelines around testing activities
Performs system, exploratory, regression and acceptance level testing.
Demonstrates understanding and application of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for software testing.
Records and Reports failures and bugs and assist in validating fixes.
Be part of and contribute with testing efforts for both Core (new features) and Maintenance (bugs) teams
Develop and execute detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback
Support and enhance QA processes.
Successfully completes individual deliverables with general supervision
Documents possible improvements or challenges with the established work processes
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Able to mentor or lead small teams on established activities

What to Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Computer Science
2–4 years in software testing
Experienced with black box testing and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts.
Able to create and utilize Master Test Plans that capture scope and strategy for release testing.
Able to mentor or lead small teams on established activities
Hands on experience with Desktop applications testing.
Hands on knowledge of API testing is preferred.
Good exposure with working on Microsoft Excel.
Aptitude to learn new applications that support the Energy Sector
Experience with:
TFS, Azure DevOps, Test Rail
Agile management practices (Scrum or Kanban)
Microsoft Excel
