• Evaluate different tools/frameworks for the most optimized automation solution to support large-scale software development through CICD (Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery) pipeline
• Design, develop and maintain automation framework which is cross platform, stable, scalable and highly performing
• Design, develop and execute automation suites for full stack functional, regression and load testing with a focus on automation and no manual testing
• Constantly looking out for areas to improve, tasks to be automated and ways to make automation more efficient
• Collaborate with application developers, architects, quality engineers and release engineers to increase automation coverage during different development and release cycles
• Define automation development coding guidelines, best practices and reinforce those through audits and/or code reviews
• Analyze and provide technical solutions to complex problems
• Take the lead and drive key initiatives
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
• Knowledge of Java and Application Server is a must
• 7+ years proven experience in designing and building automation for modern enterprise/large-scale/full-stack/cross-platform applications or related capacity
• 3+ years experience with Selenium
• 2+ years experience with object-oriented design and coding and familiar with unit testing frameworks
• Knowledge of Javascript and different UI testing framework is preferred
• Experience with REST API testing is a plus
• Familiar with development tools and infrastructure: GIT, Jenkins, Sonar
• Knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with functional automation software such as Cucumber, PACT is a plus
• Record of mentoring other engineers to maintain architectural vision and test suites quality is a plus
• Experience with Scrum and Agile methodology
