As a QA Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined framework. You will be involved in the development of quality assurance test cases/suites to validate and verify delivery of system artifacts in accordance with customer needs.
Role Responsibilities
Develop and implement testing and quality assurance artifacts for new and existing software
Ensure that software functionality is implemented according to the product stakeholder needs
Log and track system flaws using the JIRA issue tracking system
Where necessary, develop and execute E2E functional test cases to detect issues that cannot be detected through automated means
Assist with triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues discovered
Drive best practices throughout our software development process that will improve overall software reliability while minimizing overhead on development efforts
Develop automated test suites that enable our engineering team to easily write, run, and view results of automated functional and non-functional software tests
Works independently on complex projects
Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams
Work with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure
Ensure the implementation of high-end, business-wide, critical strategy set by senior management
Provide direct oversight of quality assurance team, adhering to QA standards and SLAs, and escalating risks and issues to the Engineering Delivery teams
Invest time on a daily basis on all projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technical challenges and make escalations as necessary
Role Requirements
7+ years of software quality assurance experience
Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges, with a can-do attitude
Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies
Strong communication skills with ability to interact with developers and product stakeholders globally.
Experience with test management systems (e.g. Zephyr)
Engage in continuous automated testing activity throughout agile development iterations
Knowledgeable of test automation best practices, technologies, tools, techniques and metrics
Automation experience with Selenium Web Driver/BDD Framework
Perform code reviews and be able to suggest and influence design decisions
Good to have understanding and hands on experience with testing of SOAP.
Strong background in test writing to provide full spectrum testing: Functional Stability, Performance Reliability, System Resource Utilization, Usability
Experience in testing web-based solutions
Knowledge accessing relational databases (e.g. SQL scripting)
Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
Prior experience leading onshore and offshore delivery, including working overlapping business hours to partner with onshore teams
Familiar with deployment strategies, including creation and oversight of multiple QA environments
Good to Excellent written communication skills, including technical documentation
Practical experience with creation of, and adherence to, an agile development scheduled for testing
