• Working in an engineering culture that is focused on enabling our customers to bring successful IoT products to the market
• Work as part of an experienced and talented team to deliver quality device firmware for a large range of IoT device types, to meet diverse business needs.
• Designing, implementing, and executing tests on connected device firmware, and creating testing frameworks and test beds for automating tests.
• Complete end-to-end testing of IoT devices to ensure mobile, cloud and device work seamlessly.
• Collaborate with technical staff across multiple teams to communicate issues, resolve problems, and ensure a high quality of firmware is released to Ayla’s customers.
• Test devices using a broad range of connectivity protocols and technologies such as WiFi(802.11), Cellular, Bluetooth, Zigbee (802.15.4), 6LowPan, etc.
• Play a significant role and make an impact on the company’s success
Desired Skills and Experience
• 4-7 years of experience developing automated test frameworks for networking software
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP(s), and devices communicating with a RESTful web service
• Experienced with scripting languages such as Python.
• Familiar with testing embedded devices, systems and microcontrollers.
• Experience with Linux and associated gnu networking tools such as curl and openssl.
• Understand software engineering and how to develop high quality software and the needed processes.
• Familiar with development tools such as source control (git), bug tracking (jira), and jtag debuggers.
• Ready to work on a startup where you will be exposed to a lot of areas, wear many hats, and won’t be afraid to tackle the unknown
• BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Must be located in Bangalore, within easy travelling distance of the Ayla office
