Job Description

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our multiple SaaS products. You will design creative ways to break software and identify potential bugs. You will be responsible for analysing the functionality of our applications and designing automated functional tests, API integration tests, and data comparison tests. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to contribute to product design, testability, and implementation.

Responsibilities
Develop test plans based on the analysis of feature requirements and a deep understanding of an application’s behavior to verify the functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of our software applications.
Conduct thorough manual and automated testing of web applications, APIs, and other software components.
Identify, document, and track software defects and issues and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
Participate in the planning and estimation of testing efforts and provide feedback on potential risks and areas of improvement to enhance user experience.
Continuously enhance and optimize testing processes and methodologies to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Define test preconditions and other test control and reporting functions to enable others to test functionality.
Help improve existing test infrastructure or create new test infrastructure to increase efficiency and productivity in test case development, scheduling, or execution.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to software quality assurance, and proactively share knowledge within the team.
Actively contribute to a positive team culture by fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

Qualifications
4-10 years experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role in a software development environment.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as TestNG, Selenium, JUnit, Appium, or similar.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or Katalon.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Shell).
Familiarity with code coverage analysis as it applies to test automation coverage. 
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
