QA Automation Engineer with Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have experience in developing and implementing automated test cases using Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript, and a strong passion for quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript
Collaborate with the development team to identify areas of automation and develop test plans accordingly
Analyze and report test results, and work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans and test cases
Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure that all functional and non-functional requirements are met
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in automation testing
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
1 to 4 years of experience in automated testing, preferably using Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
Experience with API testing and testing of microservices
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment
Experience with Agile software development methodologies is a plus
