We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with a strong background in automation testing, manual testing, and a deep understanding of the eCommerce domain. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing using Python and Pytest, database testing, and UI testing. Additionally, knowledge of mobile testing and framework design is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
Automated Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using Python and Pytest. Ensure the reliability and robustness of our applications by designing and executing automated test suites.
Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing activities, including test case design, test execution, and defect tracking also need to have a understanding of Postman tool. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
Database Testing: Validate data integrity by conducting database testing. Write SQL queries to verify data accuracy and perform data migration testing when necessary.
UI Testing: Create and execute UI test cases to ensure a seamless user experience. Identify and report UI-related issues and work closely with developers to resolve them.
eCommerce Domain Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the eCommerce domain to design comprehensive test scenarios that cover various aspects of online shopping, including cart functionality, payment processing, and user account management.
Mobile Testing: Familiarity with mobile testing techniques and tools Ex. Appium with Selenium/python. Test mobile applications on various devices and platforms to ensure compatibility and functionality.
Test Framework Design: Contribute to the design and improvement of the automation testing framework. Implement best practices for test automation, maintain code quality, and enhance test coverage.
Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Ensure all testing activities are well-documented for reference and compliance purposes.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the overall testing process.
Bug Tracking tool : Should have knowledge of JIRA/Azure DevOps as Bug tracking tool also Agile methodology for tracking the process flow. Along with have a basic understanding of CI/CD pipeline (Jenkin / Azure)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software testing, with a focus on automation testing.
Proficiency in Python and experience with Pytest for API test automation.
Strong knowledge of manual testing principles and methodologies.
Experience with database testing, including writing SQL queries.
Familiarity with UI testing tools and frameworks.
eCommerce domain expertise, with an understanding of online shopping processes.
Knowledge of mobile testing techniques and tools.
Experience in designing and maintaining automation testing frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Must have a knowledge of GitHub/Bitbucket as version control tool.
ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
