Job Description

As a QA Engineer at Ingram Micro, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing of applications, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in QA methodologies, strong analytical skills, and expertise in both manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:
Manual Testing:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality.
Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of existing features.
Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with the development team to facilitate resolution.

Automation Testing:
Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
Continuously enhance and optimize automated test scripts for improved efficiency and coverage.

Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing valuable input to the development process.

Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
Provide regular status reports on testing progress, defect tracking, and overall quality metrics.

Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing tools.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and implement best practices to enhance the overall quality assurance process.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on both manual and automation testing.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), and agile methodologies.
Solid experience in testing web-based applications, APIs, and databases.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
