Thoroughly test integrated software applications in a complex Unix and Windows environment.
The position will require the candidate to understand system & solution designs and use that to define suites of automated tests.
The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and creating the automated tests, will work within the automation framework that is in place and will be responsible for executing and maintaining the automated tests.
At times, the QA Automation Engineer may be asked to determine what test automation tool would be the best solution for the particular testing activities that are required.
What You Know
Overall 4+ Years of experience in testing.
Testing Methodologies and Strategies: Experience with test planning, test case design, and test execution.
Knowledge of agile and waterfall development methodologies.
Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, Python, C#) for writing and maintaining automated test scripts.
Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) knowledge.
Mastery of test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).
Ability to identify, report, and track defects through their lifecycle.
Basic SQL skills for database testing and data validation
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
Understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, self-motivated and perform well under pressure.
Education
CS degree or equivalent experience
