Responsibilities:
Execution of both manual and automated testing of a Windows App
Developing test plans, strategies & writing test cases
Automation:
Selenium WebDriver or WinAppDriver automated testing with Java
TestNG Java testing framework experience
Knowledge and use of Maven, to manage dependencies and execute test suites
Defect Management:
Using Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA to submit and update Bugs found during or outside of the testing process
Troubleshooting or reproducing larger team or partner Bug submissions
Organizing and facilitating Bug Triage meetings with product stakeholders
Participating in project team Agile and SCRUM activities such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews & Retrospectives
Use the project management tool (JIRA, ADO) to fully understand feature Acceptance Criteria in order to create test cases and to update your assigned Sprint tasks
Complete Sprint deliverables on time or communicate roadblocks clearly and as early as possible to lead and/or management
Embedded Feature Testing - Work directly with developers to understand current features in development and how best to test those features early in the lifecycle
Work with System QA team on new features needing tested by supporting the team with delivering new test cases and any appropriate feature related information
Presentations to management and development team on quality status, testing updates, partner issues, Bug counts, etc.
Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software applications design and development
Participates as a member of the overall project team to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products
Able to spot and spearhead initiatives for efficiencies in quality improvements within the team and project processes
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience or understanding of software quality assurance tools and processes
Basic understanding of design for software running on multiple supported platform types
Experienced in testing Windows and Windows Apps
Strong experience in developing test plans, strategies & writing test cases (ADO or Jira preferably)
Scripting experience of any kind is useful such as PowerShell, Batch
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Agile and SCRUM methodologies
Full understanding of the overall SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
