As an Android native Tester your role is to ensure the quality and stability of our Android applications by conducting comprehensive testing of individual units and components. In this role you'll experience the responsibilities around the stability and quality of our Android applications by conducting comprehensive testing of individual units and components.
A Day in the life
The day with responsibilities will looks like-
-Collaborate with the development team to understand the functionality and requirements of the Android app.
-Develop and execute comprehensive unit test cases to validate the behavior of individual code units and components written in Kotlin.
-Identify, isolate, and report bugs and defects, documenting them with clear steps for reproduction.
-Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve identified issues.
-Automate unit tests where possible to increase testing efficiency and maintain test suites for future releases.
-Perform regression testing to ensure previously identified issues have been successfully resolved.
-Participate in code reviews to provide insights on potential code quality and testability improvements.
-Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and participate in discussions on testing best practices.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Android app testing and make recommendations for process improvements
Academic Qualification & Experience
-BE/ B.Tech- IT/CS or a related field
-3-7 years of experience in Automotive Domain.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
-Proven experience in unit testing Android apps using Kotlin and popular testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
-Strong understanding of the Android app development lifecycle and the importance of unit testing in the software development process.
-Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
-Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports.
-Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
-Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks for Android apps is desirable.
-Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
-Detail-oriented and capable of analyzing complex systems to ensure thorough testing.
-Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
