The candidate will be responsible to perform various activities including those mentioned below on a daily basis:
Perform functional and performance testing on the application for new and existing features developed by the team.
Prepare test cases and test plans to ensure that the requirements are covered adequately from a traceability perspective.
Should be able to prepare detailed scenarios based on the requirements and execute the test cases in QA and UAT environments.
Identify and analyze defects found during testing and report to the concerned team member through Jira.
Identify and create test cases for adding to existing regression suite. Executing new and existing test cases for regression testing with every release cycle.
Work with Product and Development teams to develop and execute test plans.
Work with clients, client services team to address client issues.
Deploy new builds on QA racks as required using internal tools.
Develop and fix automated test scripts for regression suite to run with every release.
Enhance existing API automation framework to support newer features.
Analyze our application to identify key areas for automation and develop new automation test cases.
Assist in streamlining and improving the daily QA processes.
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
Testing experience with financial software
Desired Experience:
Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a computer related field.
Experience in software testing including designing and executing test plans
Able to independently work and ensure timely completion of deliverables with limited support and guidance.
Should be able to use SQL and Oracle/any other RDBMS to query the tables and retrieve data.
UI and API automation experience – Development and implementation of software testing solutions.
Good to have exposure to Splunk / programming experience with Java
7 to 14 years of relevant testing work experience with some automation exposure.
