We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Tester with expertise in both manual and automation testing of web applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and usability of our web applications through rigorous testing and automation efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to identify and resolve issues, and ensure a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities:
Manual Testing:
Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality and performance of web applications.
Conduct exploratory testing to discover potential issues and ensure optimal user experience across different browsers and devices.
Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and system enhancements.
Report and document defects accurately, including steps to reproduce and expected results.
Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues identified during testing.
Automation Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, etc.).
Execute automated test suites to efficiently validate the functionality, stability, and performance of web applications.
Test Planning and Strategy:
Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy to ensure the highest quality standards for web applications.
Identify areas of improvement in the testing process and propose effective solutions to optimize efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights into user needs and preferences.
Work closely with developers to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
Participate in design and requirement reviews to offer QA perspectives and input.
Guide in implementing and following best industry practices applicable within testing.
Test Environment Management:
Set up and maintain the test environments required for various testing activities.
Ensure the test environments are up-to-date, stable, and accurately represent production scenarios.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in manual testing of web applications, websites, including test case design and defect reporting.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for automation testing.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, or Cypress.
Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web services (RESTful APIs).
Well-versed with Website performance testing and monitoring using tools i.e., Lighthouse and GT Metrix.
Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications in software testing or automation testing are advantageous.
