We have a challenging career opportunity for a QA Engineer with a few years of hands on work experience. This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment and expand existing development skills through technical project work.
You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be able to both deliver their individual code as well as assist a team of developers; and the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel.
What you’ll do:
Producing high-quality automation code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements
Develop and design technical use cases/ quality assurance scenarios based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process
Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members
Work within a highly technical project team and respond to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs
Interacts with data architects, other tech leads, team members and project manager as required addressing technical and scheduling issues
Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development and testing processes
Responsible for insuring team designs and delivers code in alignment with published SEI & industry standards
Assist in building testing environments using migration framework/ methodology
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in technology / computer science or similar field
2 to 5 years of relevant experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience testing and delivering systems with exceptionally high degree of quality.
Experience with Selenium automation tools is must
Experience writing E2E, BDD, TestNG, Cucumber is must
Preferred Language C#
Develop/test/implement automation scripts, reports & dashboard is must
Work directly on a product development team to define the scope of each new feature/product
Experience writing test cases and being able to communicate to product owners your results.
Extensive experience working on web and mobile based software architectures.
The ability to understand how to the find root cause of defects, on either back end or front end
Experience managing and building test environments.
Develop & maintain automation framework
Experience writing API automation tests on automation technologies a plus
Experience with tools like Postman and/or SOAP UI a plus
Working knowledge of SQL a plus
Work experience within financial management organization preferred
